WA/VASH Audiovisual Festival

WA/VASH Audiovisual celebrated its inaugural event on December 2nd, 2023 at Tapawingo Park, West Lafayette from 7-10pm. For the festival, electronic musicians and video artists paired up for live performances throughout the night. Visuals were projection mapped to a large rectangular prism manufactured by Esteban García Bravo.
Participating artists: Sawing Sound, Mark Tester, Pixel Syndrome, Machine Aura, Eustress, Slowcollapse, Jeremy Tubbs, Caroline Ausema, Garrett Rogers, Mr. Desktop, Early Reflections, Visual Vibrations, Lee Loyd, Pink Noise TV.
For this festival, I was delighted to perform twice. For the first performance, I provided visuals for an electronic music project by Michael Moskaliuk called Early Reflections. Inspired by his sounds, I created a set of live glitched footage of volcanic activity.
For the second performance, I partnered up with Jennifer Banks of Visual Vibrations. She and I collaborate often (see Pink Vibrations) so it was a treat to perform together again for this festival. We teamed up to perform a glitched liquid light show to Mark Tester’s beautiful ambient music set.
